“Frontier Review” – presentation of A new major investigation into hybrid threats
On 7 October 2026 in Riga, at 17:00,
at Kalēju iela 9/11, Konventa Sēta, Riga, Building 3, 4th floor, conference hall “Georgs”,
the presentation of a new publication by “Bonum Publicum Media” — the analytical bulletin “Frontier Review” — will take place. The first issue is devoted to hybrid risks in the current electoral cycle in the Republic of Latvia, including both the elections themselves and the subsequent formation of a parliamentary coalition.
FR contains both a theoretical section providing an overview of the origins of Putin’s policy and the significance of Latvia and the Baltic macro-region in the strategy of neo-Soviet expansion, as well as specific examples of its implementation — exclusive investigative materials. In particular, sustained links between certain pro-Kremlin political circles and the special services of the Russian Federation are shown. Both the links of oligarchic forces with Moscow’s agents of influence and the spread of their activities far beyond Latvia — across the entire eastern flank of NATO and the European Union — are demonstrated. Particular attention is paid to the activities of such persons as Šlesers and Bartaševičs.
The first issue of FR has a total length of approximately 300 A4 pages, with a substantial documentary appendix accounting for the greater part of it, thanks to which the information set out in the bulletin is not merely a journalistic version but receives factual and legal substantiation.
Access to the full version of FR will be granted to representatives of Latvian state authorities, as well as representatives of NATO and EU allies, representatives of EU and NATO diplomatic missions, Latvian and European parliamentarians, journalists (employees of officially registered media outlets or members of registered journalists’ organizations), and, upon request, other natural and legal persons entitled to process sensitive information.
An abridged version of FR will subsequently be published electronically and made available to anyone interested.
Admission is free. Photography and video recording are permitted with the oral permission of the organizers.
The presentation is held with the informational support of the European Journalists’ Society.
